Can I store vodka in an acrylic container?
I have a “juice jar” that I would like to store vodka in. My only issue is does the vodka actually deteriote the acrylic container over time?
Any reference would be appreciated in a response… Thanks guys!
That would not be a good idea.
Alcohol leaches the solvents from acrylic which contaminate the drink and simply make it taste nasty.
Acrylic glasses are ok for picnic ware because of the short amount of time they’re being used and the relatively low alcohol content. For other purposes, you need to use glass or stainless steel containers.
